mission to China serves the interests of a select number of U.S.

with the business and political leaders at various levels in China.

Sino-US Opportunities: in 2007, the U.S.
exported more than $14 billion in services to China. Over 4,000 state-owned and
private companies from China already set up branches in the
U.S.; more than 80,000 Chinese students and scholars are
currently studying in the U.S.; over 100 Chinese firms went IPO
and reverse merger deals
in NY.; nearly half million Chinese business visitors and
tourists are visiting the U.S. annually; more Chinese are
interested in business, investment, and education opportunities
in the U.S. Exporting U.S. services to China has created
many new American jobs and profitable opportunities in the past
10 years.
2010 Mission Time Frame: the 10-day
exploratory business trip (April 2010) is designed exclusively for
the U.S. based law firms and legal
professionals who are interested in doing business with/in China.
Purposes: establishing various key contacts with
Chinese law firms, immigration firms, private business executives/owners, government
officials, and foreign businesses and executives in China;
learning Chinese market, cultural and business norms, and
Chinese legal systems; exploring business
and partnership opportunities
Participants: U.S. attorneys with various
practices (immigration, real estate, int'l business & investment, IPR,
M & A, IPO, government relations) are welcome. You would be a
perfect delegate if you have never been to China; have some
experiences with
Chinese clients; or/and have strong interests in assisting Chinese in
entering the US market or helping the US clients enter China
market.

Activities: we plan to visit Beijing, Shanghai,
Guangzhou, three of the largest cities in China, and we may
visit one 2nd tier city (Taicang) and/or one 3rd tier city (Changshu) in Jiangsu Province
depending on our schedule and activities. We would hold various meetings with Chinese
law firms, private company business executives, government
officials, western consulting firms and law firms, local
business organizations, etc.; a business presentation of
"Business and Investment Opportunities in the USA" by is being planned
jointly with a local business organization in Guangzhou and delegates
would have an opportunity to share their expertise with the
audience; social networking events with local executives are
to be scheduled; and we also plan to visit to a law school and
economic development zones.
